Welcome to the Biomass Exchange
This site is fully functional, and in
a demonstration and testing phase. As a result, not all of the
companies and waste listings will be accurate. Please feel free
to register and list biomass items. Note that all items added
before 10/23/2000 will be deleted on that date. This date coincides
with the official launch of the Biomass Exchange. At that time the
url will change for the directory.
The Biomass Exchange Directory is
a web-based tool designed to meet the needs of consumers and
producers of wood waste throughout the Southeast. Here's an example
of how it works:

Consumers post records of what type of
wood waste they need.

A producer of wood waste queries the
database of consumer entries to find, for example, all consumers
who need pine sawdust.

The Biomass Exchange Directory returns a
list of all consumers who meet that criteria, complete with
contact names, email links, and all wood waste information.
The Biomass Exchange Directory works the same
way for consumers, except that consumers will query the producer
waste entries.
To begin using the Exchange, select from the menu items to the left.
